Just a random realization. A relationship is like a car. You have to keep it maintained... Change its oils, like bad habits. Change spark plugs, to keep the love ignited. Have sturdy brake pads, like a break you need when conversations turn bad. And ensure that the tank is full and the battery is not yet weak to keep it running... just like how your pocket should be... always full of money. Hahaha. :)

Jazz dance lessons last Saturday
5k (well, they said it was 8k) run last Sunday
Half of my body is dying
Effect of an irregular exercise... The last run that I participated in was Nike We Run Manila 10k. I swore I would never run (walk that long) again. However, given some circumstances which I won't disclose here (my boss would probably sue me if he reads this), I was somehow pushed to run again. After almost 3 months of receiving continuous nags from my Suunto watch, I wore my "belt", and worked my ass off. I completed 175% of my work out target for the day, had a peak heart rate of 195 and an average heart rate of 174, and lost 630 kcal. :))
Anyway, I was so inspired with the Djokovic - Nadal championship match, I wanted to play tennis again. And if I am going to play tennis again, I have to let go of my dance lessons... which I am totally fine with. :)

P.S.
It feels so good to be greeted in the morning by my Suunto watch with, "rest to recover", after receiving morning greetings of "exercise today!" for 3 months. :))

Things I am up to this 2012:

- Perm my hair
- Buy a tab or a laptop
- ~~Buy an iPhone touch (can't wait this February)~~
- Buy a lomo camera (drools whenever I pass by Team Manila shop in MOA)
- Fill my closet with plenty of dresses and high heel shoes / wedges (brand doesn't matter)
- Renew my passport (I promise myself to go out of the country this year)
- Buy a Nixon watch
- Be promoted again (or this could happen next year. Let's see)
- Buy an oven (Not so sure of this one because our home is already cluttered, but maybe that will be my birthday treat to myself)
- Go to Gen San and explore other parts of it
- Stay in love with my boyfriend and be able to spend more time with him
- Have my scoliosis, vertigo and RBBB checked (hurts like hell all the time)
- Explore photography (though it's becoming a hopeless hobby of mine)
- Save money for the future (that's what I always say)
- Hate less (Everyone knows that I am a hater. I don't deny it. But I shall lessen the grudges, I suppose)
- Maintain my weight (harhar)

This was how Baclaran looked like during Christmas season. A boy scratched my car. A vendor hit my car with the plastic bags that she was selling, and furiously yelled at me for not letting her cross the street. Passers-by tapped on my hood and trunk, as they eagerly crossed the streets. While I was walking back to where I parked my car, a man kept on following me. Whenever I stopped, he also stopped. I pulled out my ballpen and "played" with it while I walked. Good thing, the man stopped following me. Thanks God because I was able to leave that place in one piece. I would never, ever go back to Baclaran during the holidays.

If I will have enough money, I'll buy this. Unfortunately, my laptop does not support this camera. It says "You need a Mac to import and edit your pictures". Good thing there is "Tell me when Windows is ready". Right now, it is only available for shipping to the US.

Something that my sisters find funny about me: Buying different nude-shaded nail polishes. Touch of Tan, Touch of Beige, Apricot... They don't see any difference, but I do. Mehehe. :) I always wear nude-shaded nail polish because I find it clean and proper for a corporate work. Ayaw ko naman na habang nag sasales update ako, sa nails ko nakatingin yung buyer. Kulang na lang sabihin niya na nagsusumigaw yung nails ko. :P

Something I find weird about me: Buying shades of metallic red, metallic green, metallic blue, metallic pink, hot pink, and black for my nail polish collection, but not using any of them. Mehehe. :) Dalawa lang ata yung nagamit ko, tapos binura ko pa agad. :P

Different topic, let me share it here. I learned that being completely honest to everyone makes it easy to be complete honest to myself, too. Problems should be settled through confrontation, and should not be kept inside our hearts. Problems are like bad trees. It's hard to uproot them once their bad roots have settled in our hearts. And after some time, they'll produce bad fruits or outcomes.

My plan for that day was to go to Tagaytay with some of my college friends, but my dad told me to go with them (my family) the night prior to my planned one day getaway. We drove to Noveleta, Cavite for my second cousin's son's Christening (Ang layo na ng connection namin pero close-close pa rin kami ng relatives ko. Haha. Pamangkin ko na sa kung saan part ng katawan ko, kilala ko pa rin. :P). I had to wear something presentable, so I wore my favorite lace top. :)

Pansin ko lang, I am becoming girly girl na. I am quite comfortable being like that, actually. High heels, girly tops and bottoms, make-up na extreme sa pink lipstick, etc. Nakaka-engganyo pa na magpaka girly girl kapag nadito si Palangga. Puro compliments kasi naririnig ko. Haha. :P I still have plenty of dresses and tops na hindi ko nasuot nung pumunta dito si Ga, kaya super poporma nanaman ako kapag nadito siya. :D

This was the only decent photo that we had during his stay in Manila (Dec. 31 to Jan 3). Taken using his Galaxy Tab (Naks!). He seldom smiles when we take our pictures, but when he does, I get kilig. :) I am getting used to people telling me that we have resemblances. He told me he'll surprise me, soon. I am not so sure of the date, but knowing him, he'll do something which will make me love him even more. Right, Ga? :)) He's so fond of surprising me and making me cry. Tears of joy naman, kaya tama lang. :P

It has been a long time since I last posted here. As much as I wanted to write, I was so busy with work, and of course, Palangga was here to celebrate New Year with my family. We didn't have any clear photo (by clear, I meant photo taken using my DSLR) that would remind us of his visit here. Anyway, selling my DSLR became an option for me. I am not into photography anymore. I have less time to spend for photography.

Anyway, 2011 was a good year. Work wise, I got regularized, and was promoted. I didn't have plans to handle new accounts when I was asked by one of the Key Accounts Manager if I wanted to "step up". For me, the account that I handled during that time was my comfort zone. I was also expecting to handle the total business by 2012, that was why I told her that my priorities were different. Came end of 2011, there was a 180 degrees turn in our office. Everything became different. Then came January 2. I was on leave that day, and was enjoying my coffee at Starbucks with my boyfriend, then my immediate supervisor called me. "You won't handle __ anymore." My heart stopped for a while because I was thinking of demotion and handling smaller accounts. I wanted to protest, but let him continue instead. "You'll be moved to NKA (National Key Accounts). You'll handle __." My stomach churned. My heart dropped. I wanted to cry because of 2 things. It's the #1 account in the Philippines, and by that, it meant bigger responsibilities and higher level of difficulty. And 2, I was not prepared because I thought that I would still be in my comfort zone in 2012. When words left my mouth, all I was able to say was "Oh My God". I couldn't let that opportunity pass. Sure, I told the KAM before that I won't accept such offer, but everything changed before 2011 ended. I swallowed my pride and ego, and chose to accept the offer. Number one account for total Philippines, how big of an obligation was that? All I could say was that I was so thankful to the top management for believing in my capabilities. I would never let them down.

2012, I promise that it will be my year. Here we go! :) I hope we take home the big award again. *Cross fingers*

P.S. Thank you to my wonderful family, friends who believed in me and never doubted my capabilities, friends who pushed me to become better, friends who didn't have any grudge towards me, and to my Palangga for being so supportive and loving and caring...

Reading the passage in Sirach regarding friends helps me realize that there are just some people who are not worth being close to. It's just so hard to accept that even though I avoided all the warnings of so many people of not trusting that person, and still befriended him/her, I ended up in the losing end. I shared a lot of private and too personal stories to that person, and I ended up being the talk of the town. Even those people who I have less interaction with because they were in the province know about my ordeals and secrets. That person even used me as an advice to other people. I know that the root cause to destroy my image to other people is his/her undeniable insecurity. The fact of the matter is, that person doesn't even have a single friend in our area. Whenever he/she gains a friends, he/she easily loses it because he/she gossips about every damn detail he/she learns about his/her new friend. In the end, he/she always twists the stories to look like he/she's not doing anything bad. Well, it's too obvious that he/she's a rotten person because NO ONE LIKES HIM/HER. I should have listened to their advice. Anyway, I have learned a lot from being his/her short-time "FRIEND". Next step, confuse him/her and make him/her regret why he/she did all the nasty things to me.

P.S. What you are spreading about me is the lowest of all low. Yelling at me "Leche kang babae ka", over and over again, and pointing your finger to my face, intentionally spilling alcohol in my bag, and looking at me with so much disgust... I can forgive and forget about them. But spreading my secret and using it against me? Fuck you. YOU NEVER KNEW ME AND WHAT I AM CAPABLE OF DOING TO YOU.

I am not used to wearing dresses. I only wear one when I feel girly. Besides, I have less than 5 dresses in my closet. I realize that I am not getting any younger, and soon, I would feel like "nag mumurang kamias" if I wear a dress (I don't know. I just don't feel comfortable seeing ladies in mid-30's onwards wearing ~~clothes~~ dresses. I might regret saying this someday). For the past shopping sprees, I bought several dresses, lace tops and skimpy skirt (yes, skimpy, because I never had one and I would use it when I feel sexy or I feel not so fatty. Haha). Anyway, I love the additionals in my wardrobe. In fairness, I became an instant loyal customer of Meg and Forever21. :P After doing some shopping rounds in Forever21, I went to SM Makati department store, and bongga, I saw other fantabulous dresses. Kahit pala sa department store lang, ang dami nang magagandang damit.

Anyway, I am doing my last shopping spree probably tomorrow or anytime within next week. I don't know yet what I would give Palangga for Christmas / New Year, but I am brewing up with some ideas. Of course, I'll buy another dress. Something lacy, I guess? I don't know. I have so much lusting for laces. Haha. :)

The first part of this year was very dragging. It came to a point where I questioned everything: my new / past jobs, my commitment in LDR, my plans for the future, etc. As everything unraveled, I realized that patience ended all doubts. One of the biggest surprises that I received this year was the promotion. I didn't expect it because my tenure in the company where I currently work in was just less than a year. Anyway, I was really surprised when the National Sales Director went straight to our room to congratulate me. My face was like "what the f*ck happened". After a day, my immediate boss and boss informed me about the good news. I was all smiles when they were talking to me about it.

Thank You, God, for being so generous and unpredictable. Thank you, Palangga, for being very supportive in everything that I do. Thank you, my very wonderful family, for everything.

Happy Anniversary :)

I went to Gen San (my second home) last Friday, November 25, to celebrate our first year anniversary. We dined at Bigby's, our favorite restaurant in Gen San. We also watched Breaking Dawn, which brought me to sleep. :P We had our anniversary dinner at Red Trellis, where we ate sumptuous crab and prawn delicacies. I won't disclose it here, but I was very surprised with Palangga's Anniversary gift for me. Sobrang naiyak ako sa tuwa. :,) We went to Glan the next day to enjoy the beach. I am not a beach loving person, but I definitely enjoyed my time at Coco's Beach Resort. White sand, clear blue green sea, no corals / sea urchins / anything that make me cringe. This morning, Palangga cooked his own version of spaghetti, which was not bad. We weren't able to attend mass. :( Before we went to the airport, we bought durian for mama. As usual, I cried when I had to board the plane. And as usual, his very kind neighbors, who worked in the airport, allowed him to go with me in the waiting area.

I can't wait to see him next month. Promise, Palangga, I won't get tired waiting for you. And I promise that I'll buy you mahu next time we see each other. :P

It is not easy to take a photo of my father because we are not close. We seldom talk to each other, and if ever we do, it is about politics, current events, and accountancy. He is the quiet type. He rarely talks to his children, but I know that he loves us. When he was still employed, he worked his ass off. He even reported to work on Sundays, if needed. He deprived himself of the meriendas worth P15.00, and he saved the money instead. He might not be able to give in all our whims, but he is a good provider. I know he loves his family. It's just so sad that I can't openly talk about anything to him, and that I easily feel irritated when he starts to give words of advice (I am a stubborn daughter. I think I am their prodigal daughter, actually). I think, the feeling is driven by the communication gap that we have since I was a kid. I know that I love him, but I am not so sure of how deep that love is. I admire him, and I want him to be proud of everything that I do. All I can say is, thank You, God, for making him my father.

I am planning of starting my own business late next year. I won't disclose any detail here until I am very sure that it will transpire on the planned date. I am excited over the thought that I'll be a business person. I just need the right equipments and a determined heart that I will be able to make it.

As for photography, I am still determined to venture into the business side of it. It's not my top priority, though. There are so many things to consider if I would venture in it: equipment, contacts (this is not a hard part for me, thanks for being into sales), money, time, etc. In the meantime, I focus on perfecting my shots and honing my post-processing skills. If ever I'll be able to have the capital, I'll venture in events and/or print photography.

Looking forward for these plans to transpire. :)

I gave two books to Beth on her birthday, one of which was the Game of Thrones (first book of the A Song of Ice and Fire saga). A day after, I contemplated on buying a copy of the same book for myself. Just to share, I bought my own set of the Twilight saga books even though Beth had a set of it. I was quite OC with how I read (I don't like to see white lines in my book), and so was Beth, which was the reason why I bought my own set of books. Anyway, I passed by 3 National Bookstores yesterday, and wasn't able to control the urge to buy the book. I almost bought the whole set of A Song of Ice and Fire because if you buy a set, you would get a book compartment (don't know if I used the correct term). I AM a sucker for collectible items, but practicality reigned over my impulsive behavior. I thought, if I was going to spend for the collection, and I would get disappointed/bored with the first book, it would be an investment gone wrong. Instead, I bought Game of Thrones and Clash of Kings.

And right now, I tell you that I regretted not buying the whole set. Haha. I am so hooked with the first book. It somehow crippled my everyday life. I hastily finished my lunch just to read. I skipped dinner just to read. I even didn't go online upon setting foot on our home after a day's work just to read. I love the TV series, and I love the book. I can't wait to finish the whole set.

P.S. I realized that most of the time, I watched first the movie / TV versions of the books that I have read. So much for being a visual person. :P

I bummed around the whole weekend (except for Saturday because I had to do some admin work) by watching TV series (Vampire Diaries, Secret Circle, 90210) and movies. I browsed through imdb.com and looked for nice movies to watch. I came across Before Sunrise and Before Sunset, so I downloaded both movies. I cried (well, almost the whole time I was watching them) because it seemed like the protagonists' feelings for each other were real, but they had to part ways. And obviously (spoiler alert), they won't bump into each other after 6 months, as what they promised to each other, because the sequel was released after 9 years. Yes, I was a nerd like that, counted years, and was logical about the whole plot.

Tearjerker movies. That's the way to waste my precious freaking long weekend. :)

When you are trying to be perfect to someone's eyes, but your acts are still unappreciated, it is time to let go. We are born to challenge ourselves, to make ourselves better, to bring out the best in us. But it doesn't mean that we should do things to please others. We are not born to please other people.

When that person keeps on comparing you to others, asks you why the other person does better than you do, it's time to forget that person. No one should make you feel insecure. No one can make you feel miserable without your consent. Thus, before you even have the mistake of letting that person make you feel bad, take that person out of your life.

If someone has nothing to say other than negative things, stay away from that person. You don't want to be part of a negative chain. Reinforce yourself to become more positive, rather than negative. Negativity consumes people. Stay away from negative people before negativity consumes you.

I just had enough of someone's attitude. Whenever I give gift to a certain person, that person ALWAYS has something negative to tell about my gift. That person never appreciates things. It seems like nothing that I do pleases that person. Ironic because whenever I turn the tables to that person, he/she feels disgusted with me being ungrateful. It's easier for him/her to criticize the things that I give, rather than thanking me for it.

Whenever I do something so that he/she will be proud of me, the first thing things that he/she does is to ask others' outputs, asks me why other persons do it better than I do. Instead of congratulating me and making me feel appreciated, it is never the first thing that he/she does.

You are the worst critic, ever. And you don't know how to be thankful. You hate it when I am like you, but you never see yourself that way. You always see yourself as clean, someone who is almost perfect. You see yourself as someone who is faultless. You are not God. You have imperfections. You have flaws. You commit mistakes, and you should not be ashamed that you do. It won't hurt if you accept the brutal fact that you are only a person, who is not above any other, and you commit mistakes because you are not goddamn perfect. And I pray... I pray that contentment, gratefulness and humility seep through your heart. We are never too old to learn.

P.S. And yes, there are times that I don't like you because I am only human and I have emotions. I have the right to dislike or like anybody. And if you think that I should be pleased with you all the time, then I am sorry. I am not a robot without emotions. Maybe if you lower your pride, and find a bit humility in yourself, then yes, I may like you.

These are the "gears" that I need and use to lessen my body fat and to tone my muscles (sans my running shoes). Aside from the 2 lbs dumbbells, I also use 5 lbs (not in the photo), but less frequent than the former. I also use a yoga mat to do my 10 minute abs workout routine. I also use the Suunto watch and belt, which my Palangga gave as a gift, to monitor my heart rate, the kcal burned while I do my exercise, and to get suggestions on how I can achieve my target weight within a given period.

I rarely run now, but whenever I do, I run for about 30 minutes to an hour. I do some pacing when I run. My target whenever I run is to finish at least 5 kilometers. When I run in an oval, the first thing that I do is to do some warm up exercises for about 5 to 10 minutes, then I do brisk walks for one oval round, jog during the second round, and run during the third. Succeeding rounds will have intervals of jogging for 2 rounds then brisk walking for a round. It will take a person 12.5 oval rounds to finish a 5 kilometer distance. After finishing my target distance or time, I do some cool down exercises for 5 to 10 minutes. After that, I do my 10 minute abs workout routine (reaching for the sky, bicycle, rowing, side-scissor, side-scissor, leg lift, back paddle, stretch --- I named those routine as such, based on how they are executed. My officemate taught me the drills).

Anyway, I should probably do some serious running again. My Suunto watch has been nagging me to do some hard exercise to compensate for the days when I did not jog. :)

Now tell me that I am fat, and I am going to slit your throat. Kidding aside (yes, of course, I do kid about killing people), I am so bored with the weekend. I am done with the paper for my work. I am done with scheduling deliveries for the week. I am bored. Just plain bored. I ~~hammed up~~ played with Happy, my lovely DSLR, and took some interesting *in my opinion* photos. And with interesting I mean simple subjects that could end my boredom. Someone called me fat. She told me that I would be even fatter when I have kids.

First, let me tell you that I am wearing a loose blouse, which makes me look a bit bigger than my real size.
Second, fat is not the same with healthy. My BMI is normal. My fat mass is normal. And I weigh 120lbs (or less - my weight varies if I consume food or not). I am 5'4" and weighing 120lbs is FUCKING NORMAL.
Third, I just wonder why some people have more weight issues with my body than I do.
Fourth, I WILL NEVER GIVE UP THE WAY I DRESS SO THAT YOU'LL BE PLEASED WITH HOW YOU LOOK AT MY BODY.

I hate it when people wake me up in the middle of my sleep. But this morning is totally an exception. Bianca woke me up because she knew that I should grab that opportunity. She knew that it would help me a lot. I won't elaborate on this, but all I can say to her is "THANK YOU!".

Before she told me about it, or even before I slept, I contemplated so much about that. Would it be wise to do that? I mean, without that person's consent? God answered swiftly. Hahaha.

Two of my siblings, Bianca and Jay (partners in crime, I think?). They say that I look a lot like Bianca. No comment. :D She's the nerd among us. Low grades make her panic, I think. Jay is the only boy among us. We used to call him Champoy. He was sickly when he was a kid. My parents thought of calling him by a different name (I guess it would keep the bad spirits away?), then he said "Jay" while pointing at himself. From then on, we called him "Jay".

To prep up my long weekend mood, I finished watching the first season of Game of Thrones last night. No need to elaborate on this, but I found a new crush in Robb Stark (Hail to the King of the North). I haven't read (as if I have a plan to) the book, and I am totally clueless on what would happen in the second season. Too bad some of the characters which I like died in the first season (i.e. Eddard Stark, Khal Drogo). Spoiler much? :P

Some of the characters that I also like are Catelyn Stark (she's such a strong woman), Arya Stark, Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen. It's only Sansa of the Starks that I don't like. I won't elaborate why, but if you watch the series, I think you'll have the same reason. I hope all the Lannisters will banish (But I know it won't happen anytime sooner. If that happens, The Game of Thrones would be plotless - if there's such a word - perhaps).

Can't wait for April 2012.

This photo was taken in July 2010 at a park somewhere in Davao City. We strolled around the streets of Davao City during the wee hours of morning. He taught me Visayan words, such as "Bati ka ug na wong. Bayot ka." I don't know if I spelled them correctly, though.

Up to this day, I find his Visayan accent really cute. I didn't like him at first sight, though. But as time progressed, even though he rarely spoke, I knew that he would be a good friend. One way that he captured my attention was through his magic tricks. He was pretty good at it. He even made my teddy bear trinket "walk". I gave it to him. I hope he kept it. ;)

Through his monthly visits, we were able to build our friendship. He wasn't still my closest friend from the province, though. That was why I was surprised when he confessed that he likes me.

Long story short, him and me became us. After 11 months, we are still together even though we are miles apart (So ironic). I am happy that he's my partner. I guess, there's too much trust, respect and love, which makes it hard for something negative to break us apart. I just hope that this will progress into something that I can call "forever". I am hopeless romantic, pardon me.

Anyway, happy 11th month to us. It has been a tough ride, but we're a sturdy 4 x 4. Road bumps and problems won't matter.

P.S. I forgot to tell you that I love you, but I know you know it even though I don't say it every now and then. And, I know. You look like the statues. :)

I was rummaging through my art work folder in my hard disk when I came across these:

This year, someone told me that I was a copycat because I followed her hairstyle whenever she changed it. First, I "copied" her perm. Even before I knew her, it was already part of my plan for 2010. It was so unfortunate, though, that when we met, my hair was still straight and I had to wait for Christmas to perm my hair because it was my mother's Chirstmas gift to me. Second, I "copied" her bangs. Photo above, taken last 04-09-09. Ooopps. It's already 2011. Really? Was I unoriginal, or was it just you didn't know me back then? Poor me. I am very uncreative.

This was one of my blog's original header designs. It was dated 08-26-08. Those were the days when I was so high in using Adobe Photoshop. I used all the brush designs that I could use. I was thinking of doing a new header design for my blog. I just need some motivation and creativity. :)

Nike We Run Manila 2011

Eight thousand participants. Pano ka tatakbo niyan? Eh 'di maglakad na lang. Haha. Palusot pa. My running buddy and I tried running the first 2 kilometers. We managed. Kinaya naman namin yung 5km. Pero ibang klase talaga yung Nike We Run Manila. Solid sa dami ng runners. Yung ibang run kasi, maraming categories and per category, max 5 thousand na yung runners. Tapos divided pa into 3 sets yung isang category pa lang. Before we reached the 2nd kilometer mark, may mananalo na. Patapos na niya yung 10km. Ayos. So, the more we became demotivated to run. Walk na nga lang. My running buddy and I finished the 10km in 1:44:00+. Haha. This might (might might might) be my last run. I want to go back to playing tennis. I love tennis, which is quite an expensive sports. Sa dami ng expenses ko, wala akong budget for tennis. Pero sayang yung racquet ko. Hindi ko na rin nagagamit. Pero I need to do some exercise or any activity to prevent weight gain. Haha. Oh well. Sabi ko nga I MIGHT not run any marathon (?) again. Pero sayang din yung Suunto watch na gift ni Ga. Oh well. I enjoyed the Nike We Run Manila 10km marathon. Sayang, 'di lang nila nabigay yung finisher's kit. Ubos na raw, so papadala na lang nila. Looking forward to receive the kit. Haha. Natapos ko naman yung 10km. :))

The "Good Samaritan"

I had an encounter with a "good Samaritan" today. I had to ride the LRT going to Baclaran from EDSA-Taft station (Wednesday = coding day = no car), but I only had a PHP1,000 bill and coins that amount to PHP11.00. The fare was PHP12.00. I handed over my one thousand Peso bill to the person who sold train tickets, but he said that he didn't have change for that. I rummaged through my bag for a Peso, but I only found a 25 centavo coin. I did the whole routine of checking my bag, looking for a lost coin within the vicinity, asking people for change for my bill, and deciding if I should change my route. Frustration took over me. Then I heard a ticking noise from a glass window, which was created by the person who sold train tickets. He called me and lent me a Peso so that I could purchase a ticket and won't miss the train.

Because of that Peso, I was able to close a deal with my buyer, which generated an additional sales of PhP3,000. When I got back to EDSA-Taft station, I returned the Peso to the ticket seller. He gave a hearty laugh and even thanked me.

God bless that man and his family. I wasn't able to get his name, but I remember that his surname starts with "R". I just pray that he'll receive more blessings in his life. I hope there would be more people like him in this world.

I never thought that having fairer skin compared to other salesmen would be a reason for me to be questioned and to be joked if I was doing my job. Those people who joked about my skin color didn't know me prior to me being a salesman. I had fairer skin than what I have now. I was dismayed with my new skin tone, but after I received such criticism, I learned to embrace what I have now.

And I never thought that being quiet among authoritative figures would lead to me being questioned if I really love my job. Seriously? Would it really suffice the thought that I was not really meant for the job? I was bothered by that person who underestimated me, and told me that sooner or later, I would find out that I was not fit to be a salesman. Being a salesman was not just about being bubbly and having a "go-go" attitude. I could not forever have that attitude. I am just a human and my emotions and mood wear off every now and then, but that doesn't mean that I am not meant for the job. Sales also required people to be highly analytical, number oriented, and responsive to customers' needs. That person who underestimated me haven't seen me do those things. I was just judged by my lack of energy during the moment I was around him. I'll prove you wrong.

How I Unraveled Palangga's Birthday Gifts

1) Palangga handed over a bouquet of roses to me when I fetched him in Bay 7 of NAIA 3.

2) He handed over a big paper bag when we got inside the car. First thing that I saw was the big box of Ferrero Rocher chocolates, which is my favorite. The bag also contained a big bag of Hershey's Kisses with Almonds, which is also one of my favorites. I love nutty chocolate candies.

3) There was a September issue of Reader's Digest (photo was not the cover of the magazine; free issue). I read Reader's Digest magazines when I want to feel intellectual. :))

4) A stem of rose (no photo) :))

5) A birthday card. Awwww.. :,) It looks so pretty and nice... and then it tuned out the Happy Birthday song. Hahahaha. Reminded me of Easy A's Pocketful of Sunshine. :))

6) Then there was the magical looking black pouch... Wait for it... Wait for it... It reads, "Suunto". I screamed! Oh my effin' baloney. Tama ba 'to? Baka free stuff lang to na nakuha niya somewhere. Hahaha. :P

7) And there's the even more magical looking box, which was wrapped in a pink cloth-like stuff. Oh my graciousness... One of my wishes has been fulfilled again... It's an M4 Suunto watch... And I almost cried... I saw in his eyes the sincerity of wanting me to be happy on my birthday. Prior to giving me the gift, he asked me if it would be okay if he would give me something which is not in my wishlist. Wala na. As in sobrang saya ko na. Sobrang saya ko dun sa fact na sobrang effort talaga. Ang sarap ng feeling na makita mo sa isang tao na natutuwa siya kasi napasaya ka niya. Yun na. :,)

He spent the weekend in Manila (including my birthday). We wasted money in Resorts World, received the good news from Dr. Gavino that I am UTI free, had early dinner with my family in Tagaytay (my and papa's birthday celebration), watched Horrible Bosses (personal opinion: better movie than the Hangover), canvassed laptop prices in Gilmore, delivered excuse letter for my merchandiser in San Juan, fetched my sister in Landmark, ate sumptuous Lechon in Chicboy, etc. I love him so much. The distance between Gen San and Manila becomes more manageable as time goes by, but we are still looking forward to be in the same place so that communication and quality time would be better. Again, I love him. I am really happy to be coupled with him. :)

If you have been browsing through my blogsite, you'll remember this street. I have taken a photo of this street before, and yes, same banana. I am so bitter with how the Makati police acted upon on situations like this. I was caught when I queued my car in the same area where that vehicle was. The Makati police told me that I violated a traffic rule because I moved farther than the U-turn slot. I was really pissed because this photo was the second one that I took wherein the vehicle was not reprimanded. And more importantly, that vehicle happened to be a government's vehicle. Politics. Enough said.

I almost had abs when I saw this. Wrong spelling wrong lang ba talaga, or does the brand Zusuki really exist? I had to edit the plate number because this might go viral. Notice the Manila Police sticker on the upper most part of the vehicle? They are not the ones you want to mess with. Just saying. :)

God, thank You for the 23 years of a roller coaster like life. Thank You for the ups and downs, the triumphs and defeats, the happiness and sadness, etc. I can say that in a wider perspective, my life is fairly awesome. It's just that there are things that I can not avoid, yet I learn from those experiences. Thank You for being such an awesome entity.

Na-in love na lang talaga ako dun sa lips ko nung inapply ko. Hahaha. Sobrang narcissist. It's so pretty! As per Faye and Marie, SUPER WORTH IT!

I also had my eyebrows threaded. Ang tagal na since the last time I did it.

Obviously, nagpapaganda ako for tomorrow. It's my 23rd birthday tomorrow. :) And dadating si Palangga, kaya dapat, super pretty ako. Hahaha. :P

I am so surprised with myself because I bought a lipstick as an early present for myself. I am not a make up fan (except for face powder and concealer), and I rarely buy make up stuff. I still even have (and I am still using it sometimes... GROSS!) my first lipstick, which my mama bought in 2005 as part of her present for my highschool graduation. However, I have been dying to have a Laura Mercier Sheer Lip Colour in Nude Lips, but it's a bit (a bit, like 200 Pesos???) more expensive than Loreal's Made for Me Natural lipstick. But I am not giving up yet. I am still going to buy that Laura Mercier lipstick. If I want it, I'll have it. Mehehehe. :)

Next thing on my bucket list, aside from the Laura Mercier Sheer Lip Colour, is Maybelline's Magnum Super Film Mascara. It's just P399, but it takes sooooo much time for me to contemplate whether to buy it or not. Haha. :P As I've said, I am not a fan of make up stuff. But tell me an Adidas stuff, and I'll drop everything to go there ASAP. :P

I think it is time to be lady like. I am going to turn 23 this Friday, and my days are numbered for me to act like a woman.Next thing I know, I am 30, with saggy and wrinkled skin. Oh no. :(

PARDON FOR THE EPIC UGLINESS OF MY FOOT

I got 2 bruises today. I got the first bruise, which was on my right foot, while I was doing my store check somewhere in Alabang. I was looking for our new product, then suddenly, I tripped over some hard metal stuff. It was a tray for the stacks of bread being displayed on the gondola. I looked to my foot because I felt a sharp pain and brushed it using my other foot. A piece of skin got chipped off. *Barf* I told the merchandiser to place it somewhere that would not bother the customers. I was surprised by how he replied, "Nasa tabi na nga yung tray eh". Furious, I told him, "Pano naman naging nasa tabi 'yan eh napatid pa nga ako o! Tanggal pa yung balat ko..." He pulled the tray and said some side comments to his co-merchandiser. Pussies.

I was in such a hurry to get my "mouse" from my mother's computer (she borrowed it because her mouse sucked). The edge of the computer drawer was made of a sharp metal, which caused the bruise on my wrist when I pulled the mouse from the USB hub.

My birthday is so near na, tapos puro sugat pa ako. :)) I should be careful next time, or else, I would look horrendous on my birthday. :P

Random Phone Photo Craziness

Curious ants crept into my glass of juice. Look what happened to them. Curiosity killed the ants. Mehehehehe. :P

I don't know their names. All I know is they were part of PBB. Their billboards annoy me so much, especially the electronic one. This is what traffic does to me. :P

My car's odometer... I took this photo when the odometer was exact 107,000 km. On the negative side, this meant change oil nanaman. :-/ The break pads should be checked na rin, along with the clutch and break fluid. Car maintenance is such a bummer. The good thing is, the company answers for the maintenance. Mehehehe. :)

Wish, Granted

I went on a planned shopping spree at BGC today because today was the last sale day of Crumpler and I was in dire need of a new make up kit.

The things on my checklist were the 8 million dollar camera laptop bag and the moderate embarrassment laptop bag. However, the 8 million dollar bag was already out of stock, and the 7 million dollar was small, so I decided not to buy a camera laptop bag. Instead, I bought the considerable embarrassment laptop bag, which was bigger than the moderate version.

After I purchased my bag, I went to Make Room to buy a new make up kit. The one that I have now was really dirty and old, so I had no choice but to throw it away.

Palangga then told me that he was interested to buy a Crumpler bag, too. I used my salesmanship and persuaded him to buy. "Today is the last day of the sale. Sayang!" He decided to buy a considerable embarrassment laptop bag, too. He could use it during his out of town routes.

So happy that I granted one of my birthday wishes! :)

I saw this tricycle while I was on my way back to our office. It carried 6 passengers, all of which were students. I was astonished because the girls riding in the back (facing my car) seemed comfortable and were happy. They were sharing jokes and were even dancing while the vehicle moved. I realized that it is not necessary to have all the splendid things to be happy and to enjoy life.

... And I saw this car. Nakakainis lang na tinakpan niya yung plate number niya para hindi siya mahuli kapag coding day. Cunning.

Jollibee Hash Brown Burger

I saw a billboard of Jollibee's newest product, Hash Brown Burger, and was enticed to try one. I really appreciated it because I love potatoes (mashed, french fries, hash brown). Jollibee's hash brown burger is yummy, although I am not so sure of the "made with baked hash browns" claim. Hehe. I am happy that I won't need to wait for mornings to have my hash brown fix. :)

With everything that happens in our world, I am not surprised that there are so many people who would do anything to climb the social ladder. What is even more surprising is how people can manage to use other people for their own benefits. With everything said, I think that there are so many people who jeopardize their dignity and ethics for worldly things. It saddens me to personally know some of them. They are so full of themselves, and they tend to forget where they are from. They look highly at themselves and always revere their greatness to themselves only. Those people do not know how to accept the brutal fact that they can not live by themselves and there are other people who have helped them achieve what they have now. Their hearts and whole being are filled with much arrogance. Someday, those people would realize that it is not always the material thing that matters. At the end of the day, even without all the material gains that we have, it is still our dignity that would justify us as persons. Sadly, dignity is like a coal. The world is running short of it.

Additional Wish List for My Birthday

Since it's not yet my birthday, I still have plenty of time to daydream about things that I like to receive on that day. Mehehe. Wishful thinking is free, so I better grab it while it lasts.

1. I have been a Lego fan since the day my cousin Josh let me play his Lego toys. They say, Lego helps people to have better handwriting. I am neither going to approve nor disapprove of it. All I can say is, I love Lego. So, for my additional wishes, I hope I receive a Lego watch and a Lego set.

4. For me, fragrance is more important than plucking/threading eyebrows for grooming. Mehehe. I never let a day pass without me spraying cologne/perfume so that I would smell nice and fresh. And everyone knows that I am a big fan of Elizabeth Arden Green Tea perfume and Salvatore Ferragamo Incanto Bliss (click the brands for the links). I also love Jovan White Musk (click the brand for the link), which is the cheapest among the 3 fragrances that I like. Thanks for my wonderful sisters for introducing those fragrances to me.

5. One of my longest lusting is for a pair of Rayban Aviator shades (click the brand for the link). I'd rather have a pair of it than the Wayfarer. I might buy a pair, though, next year. I am also waiting for the company benefit so that I can buy it. Mehehe.

I went to Medical City yesterday for a second opinion regarding my lab exam. Dra. Tolentino told me that there was a possibility of kidney stones, but she won't confirm until she saw ultrasound exam results. However, though, she confirmed that I have UTI. I underwent ultrasound exam for my kidneys. The doctors told me to return today for the results.

This morning, I prayed that I would get the result that I wanted. I went to our office today to get a LOA for my exam reading. After doing office related things, I fetched my sister's laundry and ate lunch with her. Come 2:30 pm, I went back to Medical City for my exam reading.

As I approached window 6 of the radiology department, I murmured a silent prayer to comfort myself. Of course, with the help of my supportive boyfriend, I managed to somehow overcome my anxiety. I prayed again when I got the white envelope which contained the result. With few jargon and positive words, I interpreted the result as good. However, I still didn't feel fully comforted until my doctor confirmed that the result showed a very good result: I have no stones. Our conversation/consultation ended with some reminders: to diligently take my medication, to religiously drink plenty of water, and to never hold my pee. :)

I can breathe easily now. :) Thank You, Papa God. :)

P.S. For situations like this, a second opinion works best. I am so glad I did. I am freed from paranoia and sadness. :)

Today is one of the most painful days in my life. I had to go to the doctor because I wasn't feeling well since Monday. I had to undergo lab tests ~~and I found out that I have kidney stone(s). The size of it/them, I don't know.~~ I have to undergo ultrasound test this weekend. I have to take antibiotics. I have to drink plenty of water. I am aware that salesmen are prone to UTI and kidney stones, but I didn't expect this to happen.

From pneumonia to ulcers to heart disease ~~to kidney stones~~. When will I have a normal life? Normal life, meaning, free of sickness.

I just cried and cried while I drove from the hospital to our home. This is too much.

Birthday Wishlist for 2011

It's my birthday month. Woo hoo. :))

I'll be turning 23 in less than a month. As practice, I post my birthday wishlist. Never did it happen that all of my birthday wishes were granted. So, I am basically doing this 1) for the sake of posting a wishlist because like what I said, it has been a practice; and 2) because maybe there are some kind-hearted people who will see this list and will grant some of my wishes. Teehee. :)

1) These have been in my wishlist for 2 years already, and these might come true this year:
Canon 580 EX II
Canon BG-E5
Canon 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II USM - This is a bit (note, a bit) pricey. Mga 100+ thousand lang naman. Haha.
Canon EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 USM - This is cheaper compared to the 70-200mm; around 30k? :P But this one is a wide-angle lens, while the other one is a telephoto lens. Got the difference? :P

2) An iPod Touch 32gb 4th Gen - I plan to buy one, though, early next year. Just waiting for my company benefit. Haha. :P

3) All Nat Geo coffee table books related to photography. I am such a Nat Geo book freak.

4) An all-year round-trip ticket from Manila to Gen-San. Mehehehe. :P

5) A food trip in Binondo. Gahd. I miss Wai Ying and Tasty Dumplings.

6) Apareja Buko Halo-Halo!!! I hope walking distance lang yung ~~Polomolok~~ Koronadal sa Manila.

7) At least P2,000 casino spree in Resort's World. Mehehe. Medyo lucky ako with slot machines. :)

9) That pink and neon green running shirt and shorts in Adidas. Saw these in Olympic Village in Alabang Town Center.

10) A North Face fuchsia jacket, worth PhP7,000. Saw this, too, in Olympic Village.

11) A North Face backpack. Yes, I have been lusting for North Face things for some months now.

12) A laptop upgrade. Please please. Core i7. Please please. Or maybe, a Mac Book Pro. Mehehe. :)

13) Of course, to be with my Palangga. This is a dead given because he's going here on the 23rd! Sana makapag out of town with him and with my family on the 24th kasi birthday din ni papa. :)

I hate the feeling of being insecure and there is no one I can turn to so that I won't feel like it anymore. I don't trust myself on some issues that I have in life. If insecurity is a deadly disease, I should be dead by now. There are so many things I am insecure about, and I don't know where and how I should start so that I can overcome them. Past memories, mine or not, are the worst things that trigger my "insecurity hormones" (if there are such). I don't want to be a party pooper, but it seems that I can't last a day without making myself feel insecure and sad. I don't know what kind of mentality is that, but I know for sure that I don't want to be like this forever. I want to overcome the fear and the feeling of hate for things that I don't have, which others do. I want to overcome the habit of comparing myself to others, just so that I can feel bigger than them. I want to feel that I am unique in my own ways, and that other people are unique as well.

... And I realize that I keep on saying that I never compete with others but myself. Who am I kidding? This feeling is so pathetic. I just want to feel secure.

Second Gen San Trip for 2011

First day: Saturday (August 27)
Had a splendid lunch at Saranggani Highlands

Then to his office. I made a "tattoo" on his skin because I was bored. :P

Second day: NO PHOTO!
I just slept the whole morning, ate breakfast, ate lunch, slept the whole afternoon, woke up at around 4 or 5pm, went to Robinson's Gen San to window shop for Palangga's new cellphone, attended mass, went to some fair in Gen San because there was a festivity (but found a lot of ukay-ukay stuff, instead). And the most memorable about this day? I rode a motorcycle bike for the second time (the first time was with my schoolmate's mom when she brought me to school after we rehearsed in their house). Palangga and I didn't wear helmets (HAHAHAHA!).

Third day: Apareja Buko Halo-Halo in Koronadal City
The best halo-halo I have ever eaten. I wasn't able to take a photo of it, pero worth na bumalik dun. Sobrang sarap! If you want to see how it looks, click this to be redirected to another blog.
Took photos in a landmark in Surallah, South Cotobato. Those statues were huge. We took a lot of photos around the landmark.

We went to Punta Isla, a resort in Lake Sebu, South Cotobato, to goof around...

... to explore and enjoy the beautiful view and nature

Fourth day: We went back to Lake Sebu to have breakfast/lunch (BRUNCH). The place was so beautiful. We even took photos with some Tboli people. I know that Ga won't approve if I upload those photos. Mehehehehe. :P We took a photo with one of the Tboli people who appeared in some TV commercials.

Then we went to Mountain Log Resort just to conquer my fear of heights. We went up a tower to take a 360 view of the area. I got scared (I am acrophobic). But Ga pushed me to be strong. I managed to go up, but stayed seated until he was done goofing around for photos' sake.

We went to Durian Garden, Atbp. in Polomolok, South Cotobato. I took photos of Ga "fighting" with a parrot (I guess it was a parrot). I uploaded the pic in FB. :P

Palangga tried to convince me to eat Durian, but I resisted until I left for Manila. :P I puked the first time I tried to eat Durian. My mama loves it so much, and we always get in a word war whenever there's a Durian in our home. Our ref always smell pungent because of it. :P

Fifth and last Day: Paseo del Sol Ranchero Grill
Ate steak and ensaladang mangga for lunch. So yummy! The place was beautiful, great for romantic dinner dates. :)
And again, his neighbor, who is working in the airport, allowed him to go inside the lounge area in the airport. He stayed with me until the plane arrived. Before we went inside the airport, we both cried. Parting was never easy for us. :(

I love you, Palangga. :) See you on the 23rd. :)

Lake Sebu in Koronadal

I braved Mindanao. I was able to go to Koronadal, which is some place south of Mindanao (I guess???). For some reason, since the day I set foot in Davao City (which was last year), I felt at ease with going to Mindanao. Malayo naman pala kasi sa Sulu, Tawi Tawi at Basilan yung Davao. Lalo na akong naging brave when I went to General Santos for the first time last May. Safe na safe and okay naman pala yung Mindanao. Pero nakakakaba rin pala nung pumunta kami ni Ga sa Koronadal. Pangalan pa lang kasi, mukhang station na ng mga rebelde. Pero when we got there, na-mesmerize ako sa view. Ang ganda ng Pilipinas.

I'll post other Gen San trip photos next time. Eto muna as of the meantime. :)

If happiness and sadness are mixed, they create a perfect deadly concoction. I know what I need in my life. I know that everything that I have is what I have been wanting to have all my life. I have never imagined being with someone other than you since the day I confessed that I also love you. I am sorry if I made a big mistake for confiding to others. I really am. If I can just take back all the words, I surely would do so.

It feels like it is slowly fading away. I have no other person to blame but myself. But I know, deep in myself, that I don't want us to part. Even though I said a lot of stupid things for gazillion times already, I know that it is always you that I want to share my love with.

I could go mental with what's happening. I just want everything to be back to normal. I want everything to go back to the time when all that we do is laugh and think free that we will be together someday and nothing can break us. I want to go back to the time when we care less about what others think of us. I just want to forget all the hurtful things and to move on to the good future. Most of all, I want you to forgive me...

I shed 10 minutes from my former running time of 49 mins and 35 seconds. The data shown in the Internet for the Robinsons Fit n Fun Wellness Buddy Run was wrong. I think, the coordinators mistaken my teammate and I for the other "Dream Team".

Anyway, I am so happy with my time. I am going to beat it again next time. :)

This is my work area, which is obviously filled with pink things (i.e. cork board, sticky notes board, pen holder, post its, clip binder, etc). I recently posted a photo collage of my friends and boyfriend on my monitor. I feel stress-free just by looking at it. :P

Anyway, I'll clean my work area again. I swear, it's one of the cleanest work areas in our office. I am one of the few who neatly files documents, contracts, etc., which is obvious with the numerous boxes and magazine racks filled with assorted folder types. Below is my seatmate's work area. We call his area "Payatas". You'll find assorted papers, product samples, folders in his area. I hope he won't find out about this. He'll punch me. :))
